General Ledger

General Ledger report shows the activity in your accounts over a specific period.  For each account in your chart of accounts, the report shows all the transactions that occurred in that account.

In other words, the general ledger is the core of your company’s financial records. These constitute the central ”r;books” of your system, and every transaction flows through the general ledger. These records remain as a permanent track of the history of all financial transactions since day one of the life of your company.

  1. On the Reports menu, point to Accounts, and then click General Ledger.

Double clicking an item shows the details about that transaction.
