Types of Print Templates

 

Print templates are grouped into many template types.  A document that needs to be printed uses these types to show you a list of templates that you can print on. For example, a sales invoice shows you the sales invoice print templates only and does not show you cash sales print templates.

Name

Description

Cheques or Checks

Print templates to let you print on cheques. You can design a template to align with the cheque margins.

Customers

These groups of template types are sales invoices, sales orders, sales quotes, customer statements, delivery notes, customer refunds, sales receipts (or cash sales), and receipt vouchers.

Vendors

The groups of template types under this group are bills, payment vouchers, purchase orders, purchase quotes, and vendor refunds.

Reports

These print templates let you print on reports.  

Others

The groups of template types under this group are banking templates, expenses, items, journal entry, list, and payroll template types. The following table describes each type.

Banking template types

The types of this group are deposits, withdrawals, and transfers. Thus, if you need to design a deposit template and print on it, you need to open this template and so on.  

Expenses template types

The print templates in this group are useful if you would like to print an expense entry.

Items

The print template types in this group are details, and item transfers.

Detail

You can use these templates to print item details, or print item bar codes.

Item Transfers

You use these templates to print item transfers.

Journal Entry

The print templates in this group are useful if you would like to print a journal entry.

List

The list templates let you print lists, such as customer list.

Payroll

This template is for payroll.
