Project Name
After the installation, you can setup a new company or open an existing company. To setup a new company use the new company setup wizard to create the company.
To setup a new company select New Company from the file menu. The new company wizard appears where you can enter the information for the company.
To create a new company, you must be logged on using the system administrator user ID ’r;sa’ and using the computer where the server is installed if you are using the client-server edition.
Enter the name for your company. The company name can be up to 54 characters. Press next to view the next screen.
Enter company address information and press next.
Enter other information and press next.
In this screen enter the first month in your fiscal year and enter the currency sign you use on the printed documentations, and press next.
Enter a name for the database where your company data is stored.
Select a location where you want your company database file to be saved.
Specifying the file name is optional. If you specify the file name and its location, you will tell SQL Server where to put your data. If you do not specify the file name, your data is stored in a directory called 'data' at the same location where your application is located.
You then specify the login name. You must be an administrator to create a new company, thus the login name must have administrator privileges. Microsoft SQL Server™ Express has a built in login name which has administrator privileges, please enter 'sa' if you want to use this built in login name and the password.
